The Problem

Our client, a financial services company that provides electronic-trading services to their customers, needed to consolidate and relocate over a dozen data-centers in Europe.

• Data Center Relocation • Logistics Support • Inventory Management and Asset Control • Asset Disposal and Recomissioning

The Goal

  • Consolidate 13 Micro-Data-Centers across Europe to a single location in the UK in 3-Months.
  • Audit actual asset inventory against internal inventory logs.
  • De-comission 1/3 of IT assets, Re-comission remaining 2/3 at new location.
  • Provide logistics support and management of asset locations and relocations.
  • Provide asset valuation of entire asset inventory to be de-commissioned.

The Outcome

EXTEND was able to complete this project in just over 2-months with 99% uptime of the data-centers and for 3/4 of the originally allocated budget thanks to our hardware buy-back program.
